Jüri Reinvere

Born in Tallinn, Estonia, on December 2, 1971.
Attended the Tallinn High School of Music from 1979-90, eventually graduating in composition (under Prof. Lepo Sumera) as well as in piano performance (Prof. Urve Lippus).
From 1990-91 studied composition at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw.
Relocated to Finland in December 1991.
Since 1994 studies composition at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki with Erkki Jokinen and, from 1999, with Veli-Matti Puumala.
Has regularly hosted music programs on Estonian Radio (1995-) and on Finland’s Yleisradio (1997-).

 

Jüri Reinvere's «Loodekaar» (Northwest Bow) was voted as the best composition in the category of under-30 composers at the International Composers' Rostrum 2000 in Amsterdam
